Are the large cards numbered in the sequence of instruction?
The first 29 cards in the set are ordered alphabetically and should be posted in numerical sequence. The rest of the cards could be posted in numerical sequence or by order of instruction, and grouped by type (diphthongs, digraphs, long vowels, etc.). The cards should be posted with the front side up: √ Set One: picture/no spelling, √ Set Two: Spanish spellings (Cards 1-40) and picture/no spelling for the English spellings (Cards 41-66). At the very beginning of instruction in Spanish reading and writing, a decision may be made to post only the for 29 cards (alphabet) until the instruction has progressed to include the diphthongs and other special spelling patterns. As each of the sounds and spellings are instructed, the cards are turned to reveal the correlating spelling patterns.
