Are the Kodiak, Woodsman and Wilderness Stoves airtight?
A. No. They are made from 12 gauge steel and have a snug fitting door with an excellent draft control. A real airtight stove has an asbestos ring with a heavy door that seals tightly and costs hundreds of dollars more. There are tin stoves that have been sold for many years that call themselves airtight, but they aren’t.
