Are the known tobacco plants the only plants that contain nicotine?
Guest1863 Nicotine is an alkaloid found in the nightshade family of plants (Solanaceae), predominantly in tobacco and coca, and in lower quantities in tomato, potato, eggplant (aubergine), and green pepper. But its quantity in Tobacco is much larger than any other. That is why use of the other plants do not give the "kick" that is "obtained " from Tobacco .
