Are the items I add to my blue bin recycled?

0

Yes. All items listed on the Toronto Recycles information card are recycled when collected in your blue bin. This includes the beverage alcohol containers you purchase under the Ontario Deposit Return Program (e.g. glass bottles, bag-in-box, Tetra Pak containers, plastic bottles, and aluminum and steel containers). Glass bottles from Toronto’s Blue Bin are recycled in a number of new products including fibreglass insulation, ‘shot blast’ for sandblasting, patio tiles, aggregate replacement and into the manufacture of new glass bottles.
