Are the intellectual effects of alcohol long term?

Ok first off, getting drunk once, will not hurt you long term at all. Long term alcohol effects rely HEAVILY on how much the person drinks, and how frequently. The effects range from none to Homer Simpson. One thing though, alcohol is considered to be a “gateway drug” meaning that its use makes you more likely to do other drugs. Its true too, before I drank, I would have never smoked anything or took any pills ever. After I started drinking, I have since smoked a full session of hookah, 2 cigarettes, and almost tried weed the other day. And right now I’m pretty close to trying ecstacy, since its relatively safe as long as you don’t get dehydrated. Bottom line, you are a teenager and sooner or later your hormones are going to make you like taking risks more and more and live life to the fullest. These are your prime years! Enjoy them, everyone goes out to drink every now and then.
