Are the Imperfections in Lofts What Make Them Perfect Loft Apartments?
Let’s face it, apartment living is not perfect. I don’t care how big, how nice the finishes, how great the location, every loft, townhome, or even the All-American house has its imperfections. There are those cracks that form along the ceilings. There are the water stains in the brick walls which are often missing some mortar. The concrete floors have the unique rust stains from some old boiler that used to sit there. And of course there are always those loft apartments that have the oddly shaped bedrooms or overly cramped ones. For most loft-lovers (and I’d argue home owners period) these are the imperfections that make them say, ” It’s perfect! I’ll take it.” Those cracks give the home that rugged, industrial feel. The stains and missing mortar give texture to the loft. The rust stains on the floors create the vintage charm we love. And the bedrooms, well, they just make us get creative with the space.
