The category’s five nominees announced Tuesday morning included: Kevin Bacon, “Taking Chance,” HBO; Kenneth Branagh, “Wallender,” PBS; Chiwetel Ejiofor, “Endgame,” PBS; Brendan Gleeson, “Into the Storm,” HBO; Jeremy Irons, “Georgia O’Keeffe,” Lifetime. The Golden Globes, Hollywood’s second-biggest film honors after the Oscars, will be presented Jan. 17 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, televised live by NBC and hosted by comic actor Ricky Gervais.
