No, funds deposited in Deposit Accounts are not eligible for coverage by the Securities Investor Protection Corporation.

Yes, while in transit and until they reach the Intermediary Institution or are deposited in Deposit Accounts, Funds are eligible for SIPC coverage. Once the Funds reach the Intermediary Institution or are deposited in Deposit Accounts, they are eligible for FDIC insurance. The same Funds are not eligible for both insurances at the same moment in time.
