Are the frequency intervals between notes in an octave equally spaced?

Can’t fathom whether you mean notes IN an octave or notes OF an octave. The notes IN an octave would mean all of them, each a semi-tone higher or lower then its next door neighbour, whereas the notes of an octave – e.g. C – C^ with no intermediate notes are double the frequency going upwards or half going down ! ! !
