Are the French really snobbish?

0

Yes they are in general, at least in our experience, and only some few exceptions. We’ve been to Paris on a couple of occasion and when you don’t speak the language, they tend to ignore you or give lousy service, say even in hotels where customer service should tops. Must be their very rich history, but Germans have rich history too but are friendlier. The French can’t seem to accept that English is the global language acceptable to most people nowadays, not French. Likewise, its former Francophone colonies (especially Africa) tend to be just as snobbish, compared to say former British African colonies who tend to be more friendly. Just following the colonial masters’ footsteps I guess….

That is a misconception, they are as friendly as people from any nation.I lived in France and found as long as one is respectful of them and their culture the French are great.
