Are the Following Organs of the Immune System?
Seriously, dude. Google. Tonsils house a high concentration of white blood cells, and their job is to eat foreig microorganisms. They’re like the bouncers of your throat; they pull up nasty invaders before you swallow them. Lymphatic vessels are, well, vessels for the lymphatic system. They’re like blood vessels but they carry lymph (fatty fluid) from body tissues and through lymph nodes. Infections that manage to get inside your body tissues often get swept up in the lymphatic system and pumped through lymph nodes which, like the aforementioned tonsils, are stocked with white blood cells waiting to eat them. The lymphatic system is kind of like hosing down your bike if it gets muddy in order to wash all the gunk away. It also has a role in water balance, but that’s irrelevant to immunity. I won’t provide links, because… come on, google. Try howstuffworks if you must.
