Are the F.C Arsenal fans pro Israel or the working class team of London?
There are thirteen league teams in London. The “working class teams” are West Ham United – built on the support of the Thames Dockworkers hence their nickname The Hammers or The Irons. Millwall – very similar support origins Leyton Orient again very similar support origins. Charlton Athletic drew support from the Woolwich Plumstead area as did; Arsenal – Formerly known as Wollwich Arsenal and Royal Arsenal they were the original Army team hence their nickname the Gunners. Tottenham Hotspur were formed by a group of lads who, knowing that the land around Northumberland Marshes belonged to the Percy family Earl of Northumberland (one ancestor was Harry Hotspur – aide to King Henry IV) thus the name which stands today. In the West End of London there are several clubs with more “theatrical support”; Chelsea Fulham Brentford Queens Park Rangers Crystal Palace Watford Lastly the newest members of the League Dagenham and Redbridge probably draw their support from the Car manufacturers althou
