Are the endangered species already extirpated from Sharp Park Golf Course?
No. Both the San Francisco garter snake and the California red-legged frog were observed on Sharp Park in 2008-09. Furthermore, golf course operations have been shown to kill both species through water pumping and mowing operations. If take of these species is not halted, the San Francisco garter snake could be lost forever.
