Are the embroiderers minors or do they work under sweatshop conditions?
Absolutely not as this would be contrary to our company’s ethical policies. To assure and confirm this, we observe our embroidery artists’ age and work conditions when we make our annual trips into China to meet our embroidery artists. We can attest with confidence that our artists work in comfortable, well-lit rooms with sufficient air flow. Moreover, due to the strenuous eye and hand intensive nature of embroidery work, craftswomen can only work a maximum of five hours per day, six days per week.
