The DT lenses are lenses especially designed for Sony digital SLR cameras with APS-C equivalent imaging device. These lenses are not recommended for use with Dynax/Maxxum SLR film or “Full Frame” Sony α DSLR cameras (A900). At α 900 the camera switches automatically to APS-C mode. Only a 1,5x smaller sensor area is used to capture the image, which also results in lower resolution. Due to their differing image circle sizes, auto exposure metering accuracy may be affected in certain shooting situations. DT lenses can be mounted on analogue 35mm SLR cameras from Konica Minolta and the camera will release, but usability is extremely limited as image circle does not cover the full frame. DT lenses have been confirmed as usable with KONICA MINOLTA Dynax/Maxxum 7D or 5D.
