Are the Drugs and Homeopathic Remedies Compatible?
The question is often raised as to whether allopathic drugs and homeopathic remedies are compatible? On the face of it they would seem to be totally incompatible, since they work in opposite directions on the healing process. Whilst it would be pleasant for all our patients to arrive for homeopathic consultation without taking drugs, this, however, is often not the case. Should we immediately throw away the asthmatic inhaler, which has been his lifeline for several years? Should we immediately deprive the grossly hypertensive patient of his anti hypertensive’s, given to him after a stroke? Of course not! This would be foolish, irresponsible, and dangerous! Where as in the case of mild chronic disease, the abandonment of drug therapy can be instituted almost immediately in more serious cases it is not feasible.
