Are The Dallas Cowboys The Most Successful Team…?

Not in NFL history, but you could make a good argument that they are the most successful team of the Super Bowl Era. They had two distinct periods when they dominated and could be at the start of another such run now. In the 1970’s they were definitely second fiddle to the Steelers, but they were the power of the NFC, along with the Vikings, and managed to win one super bowl title during that era. Really, the Cowboys remained a powerful team and factor into the early to mid 80’s under Danny White, who was a pretty good NFL quarterback. You could make a strong argument that their 1990’s teams were among the best in league history. Thankfully for those of us who hate the Cowboys, they have had some really miserable stretches, too. And I think it was pretty well shown a few weeks ago against the Patriots that the current Cowboys have a long way to go before they can start calling themselves an elite team.
