Are the CVTC student e-mail accounts protected from virus-infected e-mail and junk e-mail?
An e-mail filtering service has been enabled for CVTC student e-mail accounts. This service prevents virus-infected e-mail and junk e-mail from reaching an in-box. At the current time this service is available for students taking a minimum of eight (8) credits and for all students taking Internet courses. An on-line personal Message Center is created for each student where any suspicious e-mail can be reviewed. Each student receives an initial activation notice which includes instructions on accessing his/her personal Message Center. Students are encouraged to log in to the Message Center as soon as possible to review any possible legitimate messages and prevent the senders from being quarantined or “black-listed” in the future.
