Are the County Commissioners supporting the bond questions?
The Iredell County Commission voted to allow the referendum in support of school facilities on the ballot October 11. We certainly hope Commissioners will support the bonds. The commissioners voted unanimously to support the projects in the phase one plan, and the commissioners are supporting school improvements as they are already providing half of the funding of Phase One through COPs. It is up to the people of Iredell to approve the other 50% funding, and the vote is required since the tax rate would increase, and fortunately no more than 3%.
