No. Credits can be created under the Kyoto Protocol through the Clean Development Mechanism. The rules of the Clean Development Mechanism state that a project must be implemented by an organization in the first world, but located in the third world. The European Union Emissions Trading Scheme is for European companies and offset projects only. As such Zerofootprint’s projects are ineligible for these programs. Zerofootprint provides credits from additional, certified, and independently audited offset projects that allow individuals and organizations to offset though our Canadian projects.
