Are the connecting rod wrist pins pressed in on a ford 300 inline 6cyl engine?
I not see an answer so this is what I can say. I do believe these pins are pressed in, once they are removed you will see if there is a retaining clip. Call around to some Machine Shops in your area and ask what they charge to remove and replace these pins. The experienced Shops will know for sure if they are pressed in and if you need new ones, which I do not think you will. I had a 1966 Mustang with a 289, they were pressed. What I did; I used a smaller rod than the pins and hammered them out. Then, using a large Vice I put a towel on opposite side to protect piston and used the vice to press the pins in, getting them good and lined up straight. After it too far for the vise you need a small Socket or whatever to finish getting it in the rest of the way. A Machine Shop can do this in about 10-15 minutes and IF they good people, should not cost much. So, actually, I not going to bet money they pressed in, as they may have a retaining clip.
