Are the clear plastic containers that are used to keep hot roasted chicken hot all day safe?
Most grocery stores in my area (Huntington Beach, CA) sell hot roasted whole chicken that is kept hot all day on a specially heated display stand. The containers are clear plastic clam shell types. From what I know about plastics is that they emit all sorts of compounds when heated, most of them very unsafe.
