Are the chrome toys painted or plated?
All gold chrome or silver chrome toys are painted. The paint it thicker than regular paint, which makes the toys tighter than their regular counterparts. Often due to this, the toys cannot be transformed correctly or do not clip together. The chrome paint is easily scratched and there are reports that the paint flakes easily, if played with too much. Interestingly Gold Lio Convoy has been seen in both Gold Chrome and Gold Plastic.
