Are the campers placed into groups based on age or ability?
Both. Master Teachers divide campers into groups based on age first. Then campers are evaluated by the staff as they go through a series of skill testing drills. Campers who would clearly benefit from being moved to a higher group will be asked if they would like to move. Campers who were not selected, but feel they would benefit from moving to a higher group can request further evaluation from the Master Teacher. NBC Camps always tries to honor the requests of the camper while maintaining what is best for the group.
