Are the big bore engines unreliable and expensive to maintain?
As the engines have increased in size so has the technology. Our blocks are the only ones that allow us to accept the big journal crankshafts and the large core camshafts. In addition, we use larger valve stems, bigger lifters, proper valve springs, stronger wrist pins and rods, extra header bolts, etc. A bigger engine running easily has always been more reliable than a smaller engine pushed to its limits.
