Are the beds likely to need sanding to remove rough edges and splinters?

We try to find smooth wood and we do a light sanding, however they may require some sanding. The amount of sanding that needs to be done is a matter of personal preference and how it is going to be used and finished. For college students that will be setting it up and taking it down a few times, they typically don’t sand it at all. If it is going to be used in a home and painted, the amount of sanding is minimal. If it is going to be stained, then it depends on the preference of the customer.
