Are the auto-rickshaws a complement or nuisense to the traffic & people.?

Many people in India are dependent on autos particularly for short distances as it’s cheaper than a taxi but better than going in a crowded bus which stops at many stops. Removing them all together would definitely lead to increase in unemployment, particularly for poorer struggling class of the society. That may not be a good option. Alternatively, government can apply more stringent traffic rules. Use traffic lights at more risky zones, employ speed restrictions particularly in cities, employ lanes/dividers ….all of which could definitely improve condition of general traffic. Besides, many places have too many street vendors/shops making the traffic worse. The thing is that many political parties actually get money from these vendors makes the problem persist for decades. Additionally, frequent parking on certain important roads slows down the traffic. No parking zone should be applied on most highways/ main roads/connectors. We don’t need any fancy train or subway system like chin
