Are the application deadlines postmark or receipt deadlines?
February 1 and September 1 deadlines apply for both postal and online application materials. In addition to submitting the required online application, researchers are asked to prepare a printed, signed copy of the completed form and all of the appendix documents for signed authorization by their institutional official. The signed hardcopy must be mailed and postmarked by the application deadline. If the date falls on a weekend or holiday, the receipt deadline is the most recent week day before February 1 or September 1.
