Natural seawater is slightly above 8. Unless there are fishes that have been isolated in dead lagoons where pH is allow to lower, otherwise all saltwater fishes would feel more comfortable in seawater with slightly above 8 pH. ~~~~ Anyway, this reminds me of something that I experience. Nature does throw us a screw ball once in awhile. I have been keeping fish (marine and freshwater) and freshwater shrimps for awhile now. Anyway, this is about shrimps, in most websites, books and magazine you would generally learn that all freshwater shrimps prefer low temp in most cases. In one of my trip to southern Thailand, there was this hot spring where the temp is around 42C or 108F and there were whole colony of little tiny red shrimps thriving in these hot spring pools. In normal circumstances most freshwater shrimps would probably be cooked when temp raise above 30C or 86F. So I want to bring some of these fella back home to see what species they were, but there was no way I could keep the wa
