Are the Animaniacs considered “educational television”?

That was a great show. I watched it as a child, and I still watch it now from time to time. Though not really considered ‘educational’ The show definitely does teach; I recall the episodes about Einstein discovering the theory of relativity, Beethoven writing the fifth symphony, Michelangelo painting the Sistine chapel and Picasso developing his distinctive style (all thanks to the Warners!) Then there were those catchy songs– the nations of the world the US states and their capitols US presidents the bones in the body the human senses ingredients in junk-food the Universe and Solar System multiplication timezones some of those you just had to learn 😀 having the Yakko’s World lyrics permanently etched in my mind in particular had proven useful over my high school years!
