Good Friday brought good news and good fortune to all the Anaheim faithful as the Anaheim Ducks clinched their fourth consecutive playoff berth with a shootout victory win over the Dallas Stars. The Ducks didn’t disappoint a sellout crowd at the Honda Center with an exciting final home game. All seemed in the bag the final three minutes of regulation with the Ducks playing keep away from the Stars. That was until Steve Ott ripped his second goal of the game with only 13 seconds left, sending the game into overtime. In the end, both teams were unable to find the back of the net during the overtime period sending the game into a shootout. Failed attempts by Corey Perry and Bobby Ryan left the weight of the game on the shoulders of Ryan Getzlaf, after Dallas was able to get a goal passed Jonas Hiller.
