Are the Alfalah scholarships restricted to certain areas?
At the start of Alfalah Scholarship Scheme in 1998 the financial help was offered to the deserving students of Tehsil Kharian of district Gujrat. Later in 2002 it was expanded to whole of district Gujrat. In 2006 the district of Mandi Bahauddin was also included in the Alfalah programme. In 2007 several needy students from all over Pakistan contacted and sent applications for the scholarship. Thus a limited number of University level applicants were considered on merit and granted financial support on monthly basis.
