Are the Alabama State Bar’s CLE and ethic hours compatible with other States?
Each State’s Bar Association has Rules regarding Continuing Legal Education. The CLE Rules and how CLE hours are categorized vary from state to state. The Alabama State Bar’s MCLE Rules provide for CLE and ethics hours. For example, a seminar approved for 6 CLE hours and 1 ethics hours means that the total maximum hours available for the program is 6 hours of which 1 hour is approved for ethics.
