Most of this will seem as common sense: • Always use fresh gas. • Always use at least 92 octane automotive fuel. • Filter your fuel at the gas pump, as well as filling the aircraft’s fuel tank. • Fill your gas tank at the end of each flying session to prevent condensation. • Change your spark plugs at 25 hour intervals. • Always use a good grade of oil such as Pennzoil ‘air cooled’ or Amsoil for oil injected engines. • Change your fuel filter, fuel lines, and fuel pump once per year.
