Are Tescos letting down the consumer in relation to their healthy eating options?
I sympathise! However, I would avoid ‘ready meals’ at all costs anyhow. There are hidden sugars, salts, additives, in abundance to (a) make them taste ok and (b) to allow them to be packaged & stored for days. If you’re looking for healthy eating, it doesn’t take too much time to grill a lean piece of steak or salmon or stir fry some chopped up chicken, pork, quorn with some vegetables. If you’re eating late at night, you should fill up like this and avoid refined carbs and processed food. I know it’s doesn’t seem as convenient but I’d rather spend 10 minutes dong this than eating supermarket packet stuff. If you plan ahead, it can really work out and be more enjoyable. Try it for a week, I guarantee you’ll have at least an hour longer each evening, because your energy will go through the roof and your hubby won’t fall asleep in front of the TV 😉 My tips for diabetes diet are also great principles for anyone wanting to improve their health and control weight.
