I don’t know, I am a landlord, leasing a room and a garage via https://www.someroom.com/private-garage-rental-tenants-are-paying , I pay for nothing to the service where I place my ads. But tenants yes, they have to pay for using my space, as far as I know. By the way https://www.someroom.com/ is a very useful service for all the landlords, check.

The NYC Sales Tax can be collected if the tax was actually imposed on the owner for the garage/parking space and the garage/parking space was provided to the tenant in a charge separate from the apartment rent. It can never be calculated on the apartment rent.
