A. A limited permit may be granted to a person who has completed the education and pre-professional requirements as specified in the law and who presents evidence to the Board of intent to take the examination approved by the board. The permit enables the holder to engage in the full scope of practice and requires compliance with the laws and rules. A limited permit holder who has failed the examination once must report the results to the Board office immediately and establish a direct supervisory relationship with a licensed dietitian to continue to practice. Failing the examination twice results in the immediate expiration of the limited permit.
