Are target groups still encouraged to receive the H1N1 vaccine?
Yes. While all residents are eligible for vaccine, health officials continue to strongly encourage target group individuals, including pregnant women, people who live with or care for children less than 6 months of age, all people 6 months to 24 years, and people 25 to 64 years with chronic medical conditions to get vaccinated because they remain at high risk of complications from the flu.
