Domanski-Lyfors: I think that the teams and players who take part in the U-17 and U-20 World Cups will make great progress. Marta is a good example of this. She played in the U-19 World Cup in 2002 and then made the step up to the full international team. Despite the fact that she’s still very young, she has already gained a lot of experience. There are a lot of gifted players around the world – you can find some in almost every team. It is a shame that Sweden didn’t qualify for the U-20 World Cup, and I think that this will be a real handicap for us, as you have to take part in tournaments like these if you want to be one of the top nations in Europe.
