Are summer dresses wedding-appropriate?
Consider where the reception is being held. If it’s in someone’s backyard, or outdoors, those sundresses are acceptable, but the canvas shoes will not be appropriate for a more formal affair. The dresses are cute, but I would not wear sweat shirts. You can get a shrug to go over them for when it gets cooler or for inside in the air conditioning. At least wear attractive sandals and carry a small black or white purse. I , personally, would go a little more formal. If the invitation says black tie, then you really need to dress it up, other wise, a few minor modifications should be OK.
