Recommended concentrations are 5 μM and below for use on cells. Under labeling conditions using up to 20 μM substrate for 2 hours no toxicity has been noted by proliferation or viability assays. Most of the substrates can be incubated with cells for 24 hours at a concentration of 20 μM without significant toxicity.
