Are students whose parents pay tuition required to participate in state assessments? Are the students scores included in accountability reports?
The participation of tuition students in state assessments is a local decision. The district is not accountable for the participation of tuition students or their performance. To exclude tuitioned students from accountability reports, the district should only report in the Third Period Cumulative ADM Collection students enrolled on the first school day in May for whom state funds are expended on their instruction.
