Are students screened for the immersion program?
In most immersion programs, there is no screening process. The only students not suited for immersion are those who have severe speech or hearing disorders. If, after entering the program, a child is experiencing any kind of difficulty, it is encouraged that the parents and the teacher meet to discuss possible options before the child is counseled out of the program.
