Are students permitted to use a highlighter pen?
Students should not use highlighter pens unless instructions are given to the contrary on the question paper. The principal reason for this is to do with electronic communication of the scripts. You should apply the ruling that nothing that is to be returned to CIE should be marked with a highlighter pen; instead the students should underline key words.
