Are students paid for their apprenticeship training?
It is recommended, but not manditory, that students are paid in the following trades: Precision Metal Trades, Auto Body, Automotive Service Technician, Assistant Cook, Cook and Baker. Employers participating in the program may pay wages for on-the-job training, based on normal apprenticeship wage rates or minimum wage, depending on the trade and employer. Hairstyling employers may pay students or provide them with some form of remuneration.
