Are students allowed to stay in their rooms during vacations and breaks?

Residence halls are closed during vacations and breaks. However, during breaks, housing is provided for international students, and students participating in College activities which require them to remain in Scranton. Employment that is not part of an academic commitment is not an acceptable reason to be granted housing over a break or vacation.
