Are Square Dance clothes expensive?
Like any clothing, they can be, but don’t have to be. A full, crystal fabric petticoat like the one on the right is likely to be your most costly item, but less expensive ones are available.. You’ll likely be surprised, however, at how reasonably priced you’ll find the majority of clothing in most square dance shops. You can buy used clothing (we call it “experienced”) at many square dance shops and many beginners jamborees and conventions. There are also many online stores…the two links on this page connect to two local, Portland, Oregon sites. Of course, those who sew have a real advantage, and patterns are usually available at these shops.
