Yes and no. Obviously, courses do vary in quality, but we do not have a list of “best” courses. We advise selection of electives for the purpose intended–to broaden the students’ horizons and to meet career goals. Because students’ interests differ so much, what might be a good course for one could be detrimental to another. One student may like a foreign language such as Spanish; another may prefer to study music appreciation. In terms of admission, there is no special list of valuable elective courses. All students who meet the minimum prerequisites are evaluated for admission.
