Solar pre-heat systems connected to an existing electric or gas system, are not eligible for a rebate. The NSW Home Saver Rebates aims to reduce electricity consumption, so it is a requirement that the existing electric system is replaced. Where a new pre-heat system is connected to a new gas storage tank or boost which replaces an electric system, the system is eligible for a rebate.
