Are So Delicious Ice cream and silk soy milk vegan?
So Delicious is for sure vegan. They (Turtle Mountain, the makers of So Delicious) are actually currently working with Farm Sanctuary and Dan Piraro (vegan and cartoonist of Bizarro) to promote healthy non animal diets and the impact of animal diets and animal exploitation on the planet. Silk is animal free however is far from vegan. Silk is owned by Dean Foods, Dean is one of the world largest dairy producers and makes billions of dollars off the murder and exploitation of cows as well as the exploitation of the planet and is a basically a monopoly. Milk from any company is also the chief creator of veal because the baby male calves cannot produce milk so they are sent off too be used and abused for veal. So while Silk contains no animal products the company behind them is responsible for tons upon tons of suffering and cruelty and makes most of their money from that not from soy milk.
